SPUDS: Three days after our new Rescue Committee was formed, Spuds became our first "participant". His owner had passed away and the man's wife sadly, was unable to care for this beautiful boy. Spuds joined Cassandra Appleman's family and now he has a bunch of new friends. His good nature and happy attitude has made him a BFF to everyone.

SHILOH: Lovely Isabella Shiloh, now known as Bella, rules the roost at the exclusive Hillsboro Club on Florida's east coast. Her new family is an extended one, and her Dad, the CEO of the club, has gone completely "bullie mad" like so many of us. All the staff vie for Bella's attention, and since she has done so well with her etiquette lessons...that Dan Dodge has adopted...Arnold!

ARNOLD: Our darling and bouncy Arnold went to join Bella and Dan for a weekend sleepover. SIR ARNOLD (as we were told to address him with the respect he deserved...) was another instant favorite with the staff at the club, and although Bella thought she was the princess, she was willing to share her royal favor with Arnold, (sometimes, anyway) Sadly Arnold passed away in November 2009.

FRITZIE: The picture above is from the day Fritz came to rescue, to be fostered during his heartworm treatment. The picture below is with Fritz after he was adopted by the Costa family. Unfortunately, Fritz developed aggression and temperament issues and passed away June 14, 2010.
