GINGER,our beautiful red girl was abandoned in a
rental house when the people who lived there were evicted. Her original owner
had left her with them when he got divorced. The realtor called us and we went
to pick her up. She was skinny and lonely, and was so glad to see us.Once her picture and story were posted
on the Internet, inquiries from all over the country. We thought that Ginger soon found her
very own. home, as she was adopted
in November of 2009. Her new owner signed an adoption contract stating that if
she was unable to keep the dog that it would be returned to us or to our
representatives. Recently Ginger was listed on Craigslist in the Ft.
Wayne/Yoder area. She was also advertised for sale on bulletin boards in local
veterinarians’ offices. Ginger is approximately 2 1/2 years old, she is spayed.
She is a red (or fawn) smut with a white blaze that starts between her ears and
continues under her chin and down to a white chest. She is chipped with an AVID
chip :103 039 786.The Bull Terrier Club of Tampa Bay Rescue Committee takes our responsibility very seriously. Please keep an eye out for this sweet girl, she has
had a hard life and deserves better. I hope that someone can help us find and
regain this dog. If you have any information on Ginger or her possible
whereabouts please contact the Bull Terrier Club of Tampa Bay Rescue Committee
Chairman, Rebecca Quigley. Cell: 508-574-1146 or email: quiglet @aol.com.with her very own little boy, and he new mom says Ginger is the
dog she always dreamed of having.
MACKENSIE, a deaf 5-year-old Bullie, was taken
into rescue when her first owner realized, sadly, that he did not have time to
spend with her.Shelter workers
called us because they didn't have the resources to deal with her deafness or
with her medical issues. Fortunately for Mackensie, she was fostered by a
veterinarian, who provided all the care she needed, and where she had an
extended family who included all the vet techs and where she ruled the roost
most afternoons. Then Miss M. found her forever home with a young man who had
just lost his beloved rescue Boston Terrier. When he met Mackensie, the bond
was instant and after their first playtime together, Mackensie fell asleep in
his lap. From now on, Miss Mackensie and her new best friend have all the time in
the world for each other.
'NILLA was surrendered to animal control after having been picked up as a stray
for the third time. The first two
times her owners came and got her; the last time they came to the animal
shelter they signed her over and went home without her. She was confused and
alone. The shelter staff could see that she was depressed, and they contacted
our Rescue to see if we could help. We all fell in love with Nilla the instant
we saw her.‘Nilla
is just plain sweet as her name. She had had hundreds of people, from all over
the country, view her on the Petfinder site, and now she has a very special,
beautiful new home. She met her new family, Dennis and Laura Webb, and traveled
across the state to her with them, where she instantly became supercharged energy
girl!!Her new family recently
lost their beloved rescue Snowy, and they were so excited to bring sweet ‘Nilla
home. She can never replace Snowy (as we all know, from experience) but Nilla
has brought her sunny personality and endearing ways to brighten their home and
provide a new dear Bullie face for them to love.
BEBE
HAS BEEN ADOPTED. Bebe, once known as Babygirl, is one lucky little girl! After
her sucessful treatment for heartworm, she is now the forever Bebe of the
Neuman family, who fostered her too. She joins Linda and Jim, and their cat
Henry, in their Naples home. She's very sweet to her friend Henry! Bebe's
already taken a basic manners for dogs class with Linda and is working on a
basic agility class now. Life is good!
Gotti has
been adopted and his new name is Barrett!! Barrett has joined his bullie sister
Bella (formerly Shiloh) and is enjoying the constant attention of his dad and
all of the staff of the Hillsboro Club. They're all now confirmed Bull Terrier
fans. Basking in the attention he now receives, Barrett has even forgotten
about his cat vendetta, and passes the felines by without a glance; maybe that
will rub off on Bella...The two of them relax together in the picture below.
