Zelda was in a shelter as a stray. Nobody claimed her. A
couple applied to adopt her but when she was found to have heartworm and a
possible dislocated hip, they did not return the shelter's calls. Now Zelda is
settling into her foster home with the Beckers, and is making friends with everybody, including
the resident Bullie Huckleberry, and the kids across the street.her tail does not stop
wagging. She has had the first of many visits to the vet and has started her
treatment for heart worm. Her injured leg is the next issue we will address,
currently she is weight bearing onthat leg about 30% of the time and does not appear to be in pain. She's
already begun to gain a little weight and is a cheerful, loving girl. Keep an
eye on our website, www.thebullterriercluboftampabay.com to track her progress.
We are crossing our fingers and praying for her recovery.
Mister Bear
has come to live at the farm. Bear is a cute white boy with one blue eye and a
black ear. He is going to be 3 in September. Bear was surrendered to our rescue
when his owner had to move back home with his parents, and there were just too
many small dogs and cats there. Bear is up to date on his shots, neutered and ready to
find his forever home. Bear
is such a happy bouncy boy it is hard not to laugh when you see his pure joy
when he plays. Bear is a good boy too, but he will need to go to dog school for
some basic manners! He is a physical fellow! We think he's a smart boy too, and
he'll probably learn really fast, maybe even faster than you!
